Here at Albuquerque Fit, our goal is to safely bring these benefits to as many people as possible, including couch potatoes, Boston-qualifying athletes, and everybody in between.<\/p><p>The program is simple, but powerful. Over 13 (Spring Season) or 20 weeks (Summer Season), through safe and steady coaching, members progress from little or no running base to race condition. Members follow our carefully developed training schedule during the week, then on the weekends, the entire group meets for ability-based long runs. These group meetings are great for lots of reasons. First, they\u2019re a good chance to share the challenges and joys of training with others who are going through the same thing. Second, the weekly group meetings are important because members receive educational seminars on running or walking-specific topics that round out their training with essential practical and strategic information. Our emphasis is on safety and achievement, and we find that often, these meetings represent the beginning of many lifelong friendships. class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>USA FIT Albuquerque\u2019s runners form the backbone of our membership. Runners all receive weekly emails providing information about a weekly topic, a schedule specifically designed for their ability level, the chance to connect on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/ABQFIT\">social media<\/a>, and more.<\/p><p>At the start of each season, coaches will explain the purpose the Saturday run\/walk,\u00a0 the gradual increase of mileage building and finding the best pace to train.\u00a0 Each Saturday, pacers will run\/walk with members who have similar pace goals so everyone has a group to run with.<\/p><p><em>The program\u2019s general format is as follows:<\/em><\/p><ul><li>Before each Saturday run, members will come together for the week\u2019s announcements and to hear a brief talk from the coaches about the topic of the week designed to prepare runners\/walkers for the rigors of this endurance sport.<\/li><li>Members participate in an organized training session each Saturday morning led by pacers.<\/li><li>At the conculsion of the Saturday runs, members will have access to mats and tools to help with cool down stretches.\u00a0 This is also a time when members can chat with coaches, sponsors, and fellow runners\/walkers to discuss progress or get questions answered.<\/li><li>Members are provided with a\u00a0 schedule for mid-week training runs.
